Terms of Service

1. The service

ShipLog is a SaaS tool for creators. It lets you capture content ideas, optionally connect TikTok to sync read-only performance metrics, and request AI suggestions grounded in that data. Features, availability, and usage limits (including AI quotas) may change as the product evolves.

2. Accounts

You must sign in with a GitHub or Google account you are authorized to use. You are responsible for activity under your session. You may not share access, impersonate others, or attempt to access another user’s data.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use ShipLog for unlawful, harassing, or infringing content
• Probe, disrupt, or overload the service or its infrastructure
• Reverse engineer the product except where permitted by law
• Use automated access in a way that abuses rate limits or AI quotas

4. Intellectual property

You retain ownership of the ideas, profile text, and TikTok content you provide or connect. You grant ShipLog a limited license to store and process that material solely to operate the service (including sending it to Amazon Bedrock when you request AI features).

ShipLog and its licensors own the product, software, UI, branding, and documentation. These terms do not transfer any ownership of ShipLog to you.

5. TikTok

Connecting TikTok is optional. If you do, you remain bound by TikTok’s own terms and policies. ShipLog does not control TikTok’s platform, availability, or metrics. We only request read-only Display API access and do not post on your behalf.

6. AI suggestions

Reviews and generated ideas are suggestions only. They are not a promise of views, engagement, or any particular outcome. You are responsible for how you use or publish any suggestion.

ShipLog’s AI is instructed not to provide assistance with self-harm or suicide. It will not generate methods, encouragement, or content ideas on those topics. If you are in crisis, contact local emergency services or, in the United States, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline).

7. Demo content is not a testimonial

Screenshots, mock dashboards, sample names, and sample metrics on our marketing or login pages are illustrative product previews. They are not real users, results, or testimonials. We do not present fictional endorsements as genuine.

8. Cancellation

ShipLog is currently free and does not take payments or auto-renew subscriptions. Signing up is a single OAuth click. You can stop using the service at any time by signing out. To cancel your account and have your data deleted, email support@ahmedrashid.ca — the same contact used for support. Cancellation is not harder or longer than signing up.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

ShipLog is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI output will be accurate or useful.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ShipLog and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to ShipLog will not exceed the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim (or zero if the service is provided free).

11. Termination

You may stop using ShipLog at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms or if we discontinue the service. On termination, the licenses granted here end. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including IP, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will survive.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. The effective date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continued use of ShipLog after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
